I believe barrel horses
     should run with their
          heart and soul,
               not out of
        fear and intimidation.
My Story
DuGosh Barrel Horses
I've learned to appreciate everything.  I don't take anything for granted anymore.  On the 13th of September I was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.  I was involved in a horse related accident and as a result of that I had swelling and bleeding in my left brain which paralyzed the whole right side of my body.  While in the hospital I had to re-train the left brain to communicate with the right side of my body.  Doctor's said I wouldn't walk again.  Real encouraging!  After many long hours in therapy I walked out of the hospital on October 16th.  It wasn't pretty, but I did it.  I'm still recovering, trying to get stronger every day.  I'm a fighter and pretty stubborn I've been told and those two things are going to get me back in the arena competing !!!
