Born in Vegas ~ his dad was an Entertainer ... the music was in his blood.  Darryl went on to be a very talented musician and vocalist.  He was a Fiddle Playing Champion at the age of 12.  Was actually taking his dirt bike for one last ride before he left for the National Championship Contest in Tennesse.  Unfortunately he never made it because he had a head on collision with a CPS Truck and that put him in a body cast for 8 weeks.  Pins and plates later he formed his own band.  As lead singer they hit the road in the late 70's early 80's traveling all over the US opening up for George Strait, Alabama, Charlie Pride, just to name a few.  Was offered the lead violinist spot in a band and turned it down because he didn't want to be behind a female singer .. Shania Twain !!  In the late 80's he turned from the music to the cars. Building street rods.  Souping up trucks.  Military Drive in San Antonio was a very popular place to hang out with your ride back then !!!  Eventually the toys got old and with his sister in Rodeo his interest were directed to the horses.  He bought his first horse in the early 90's.  She was a two year old mare name Nyla.  She turned out to be a top notch Open horse and opened Darryl's eyes to a whole new world of training horses. As President he took the Bluebonnet Barrel Racing Association in 2007 and 2008 above and beyond the standards.  Goals were set and records were broken.  He had an amazing time !!  God has given Darryl many talents and the one with the horses has built a reputation that's respected all over Texas.

About Christina
I was born in Palestine and didn't leave East Texas until my junior high years.  In 1988 I graduated from Thorndale High School in Thorndale.  Graduating Class of 28 students !!!  Attended Concordia Lutheran College in Austin on a volleyball scholarship.  My senior year I received the MVP Award.  In 1992 I graduated with a degree in Accounting and Business Management.  I continued playing volleyball indoors, outdoors, grass and/or sand until my knees couldn't take anymore so I gave up the game and in October of 1999 I went to my 2nd passion and bought my first barrel horse.  Ryon's Wrangler (Dash For Cash/Windy Ryon gelding).  He taught me to barrel race.  I watched alot, went to a few clinics, watched alot more and the rest is history.  I've trained a few horses of my own.  They've gone on to help others love the sport of barrel racing.  My days are long and my nights are short.  I pray everyday that Darryl gets stronger and stronger and can make a full recovery because I know it's killing him not being able to do what he loves so much.
